Zermatt is Switzerland's iconic Matterhorn resort, and it is car-free. Your private transfer covers the ~220 km from Geneva Airport (about 2 h 45 by road via the A9, Martigny, the Rhone valley and up the Mattertal) to Tasch, the last village before the car-free zone. From the Tasch terminal, the shuttle train runs every ~20 minutes and reaches Zermatt in just 12 minutes.
Why a private transfer
The alternative is a train with a change at Visp and all your luggage in tow. A private transfer takes you and your gear straight to the Tasch terminal, where trolleys roll directly onto the shuttle train to your Zermatt hotel.
Good to know
All within Switzerland, no border crossing. The final stretch up the Mattertal from Visp is a narrow valley road; our winter-equipped vehicles and local drivers handle it in all conditions. Zermatt: the Matterhorn (4,478 m), year-round glacier skiing, electric taxis in the village.
